The cast of IRL, Bex's original comic strip about life online, with
comments by the creator! Conrad is our main character for IRL. The official Newbie
of the group, Conrad has yet to be tainted by the more geeky
world of online role playing, hence, he still has a "life."
Conrad was without a doubt the most difficult to draw. The
only part of him that I liked in my original sketch was
his lil' spit curl thingie up there. One of these days I'll
have to scan the other twenty odd faces I drew before I
decided on that one.
Addie here is the sweet lil' cute shy and quiet one. His
favorite RP genre is Fantasy, and he is most likely to fade
into a background in any conversation. He's the most bright
of the group, but rarely speaks at all. Addie was pretty
easy to draw, but the hair was the hardest part. Another
dozen scans, every hair do from Einstein to Forrest Gump
before he got that. Whatever that is.
We all know a Leech. The idiot who thinks he knows it
all, and never bathes. Yes, Leech here is the stereotypical
Comic RPer, complete with ponytail. Leech was one of the
characters drawn on the first try.
Travis, the know-it-all who is just behind Leech for the
most annoying member. He's the Sci-Fi junkie, and constantly
works Star Trek episodes into every day situations, as well
as quote Star Wars. A lot. A whole lot. You just wanna punch
him. 'Specially when he speaks in Klingon. Anyhoo, Travis
is the last one conceived and drawn. Had a hard time coming
up with a Sci Fi guy, but there he is, the lifeless li'l
squirt.
Camilla was the very first character created. The first
one concieved, the first one drawn, and drawn just the way
I liked on the very first go. Camilla's real name is Tonya,
but don't ever call her that. She's the Vampire/WOD RPer,
and wears fake fangs. All the time. She thinks she's a sex
goddess but, obviously, is not. All the guys save Conrad
are ga-ga over her because of the simple fact that she is
a girl. A giiirl... woooow....
